Multi Engine Rating
The holder of a licence endorsed with an Multi Engine Rating may exercise the privilege to fly under aircraft with more than one engine.
- Knowledge: CAR’s 421.38(3) does not contain any knowledge requirements for the multi-engine class rating; however, Greenwood Flight Centre does require ground school and successful completion of an examination before the TC flight test may commence.
- Skill: Within 12 months preceding the date of application, a student must successfully complete a TC flight test as outlined in the Flight Test Standard – Multi Engine Rating - Aeroplane.
- Flight Briefings: 5 hours.
- Experience: Minimum of 11.3 hours of flight training including a minimum of:
- 10 hours of dual instruction
- 1.3 hours of solo
